Blisters and Deck Building

I had a busy week last week. Monday I woke up with another high fever. Mommy and Nonna took me to see my doctor and I had a really red throat and very high WBC. The doctor almost had mommy and nonna take me to the ER!! Then Tuesday mommy found little blisters all in my mouth. The doctor said I had some little things in my body called viruses and bacteria. Mommy says I'm not allowed to have those in me anymore because she's sad when I'm sick.

I felt much better by the weekend and we had some friends over to help daddy build with blocks outside. They built something mommy called a deck by our pool. Daddy will finish the deck next weekend then mommy said she is going to plant some flowers.

Mommy and Daddy also gave Baby Bess to Nonna and Grandpa Michael because Bess wouldn't wear her diapers and would just go potty on the floor. Mommy says she's going to find a new home for Niles too but doesn't think anyone will want him.

Mommy also took me to get my hair cut again. I cried the whole time but sat still like a good boy so the man could make me look even more handsome than I already am (or so mommy says)

Then yesterday mommy and daddy took me to the big pizza building with all the lights and sounds. My friend, Chase, and his mommy and daddy came too and we got to ride horses that went round and round! Then mommy rode a motorcycle with me, daddy rolled some balls into holes at the end of small road, mommy shot a magic gun that made some pictures and statues move in a silly way, and then mommy held me and jumped up and down on a machine with lots of lights. We had so much fun but then Chase and I got super tired and started to cry the second time we rode the horses. Luckily mommy and daddy decided it was time to go home but not before I got to play in the little train that was just my size!!

All in all a very busy week!!

Swim Lessons

Saturday was my last swim class and Daddy came to swim with me. We had a lot of fun and I was able to show Daddy how brave I am. I put my face in the water without getting upset and I love kicking and floating! Mommy took lots of pictures and video. I did get a little lonely for her at one point but she told me I was doing a really good job so I was happy again! Mommy and Daddy don't know if they will send me to more swim classes or just let me swim at our very own swimming pool.

Go Stars!

Mommy and Daddy took me to a Stanley Cup Playoff game last Thursday night. The Dallas Stars played the Anaheim Ducks (last years Stanley Cup Champions) and the Dallas Stars won!! Even though we are RedWing fans we root for the Stars to win whenever they aren't playing the Wings. Uncle Dan came along with us and we all had a lot of fun eating junk food and screaming a lot. I especially loved my giant pretzel!

Fevers are Bad

Well I have to post again because the last few days have been busy for me. Yesterday after we didn't get much sleep because of the storms I fell asleep just a few hours after waking up. Then I woke up 4 hours later with a very high fever! Mommy thought it might be from the shot I got the day before at the doctor but the nurse on the phone said not a fever that high. So mommy and daddy gave me some of that yummy purple medicine and let me lay in bed with them. But I guess the medicine made me feel better because mommy put me in my bed when I was running around on their bed and playing at 11pm! I woke up with a lower fever but still was not feeling great. I just didn't know what I wanted and would go from smiling to crying to complaining in just one minute. Mommy has been giving me lots of milk and juice but I haven't been eating much. But my whole plan to get them to stay home tonight worked because they didn't go to their party!! But I still had to go to bed early...phooey. I hope I feel better tomorrow but I'm sad I will miss my friend Natalie's first birthday party.
I think it should be against the law for little people like me to get sick!

Texas Sized Storms

The past couple weeks I've been introduced to hail as big as quarters and dimes!! Tuesday night we had a lot of hail at our house but I just slept right through it. Mommy and Daddy had to run out to get our car inside the garage. But last night I was introduced to straight-line winds with gust up to 80mph!! My mommy ran into my room at 3am and grabbed me out of my crib. I could hear a loud noise outside and mommy said it was a tornado siren. We ran downstairs with daddy and the dogs and crawled into a secret room under our stairs. Daddy, mommy, Ace, Niles, Bess, and me played with the flashlight in our little room for a long time. Mommy said before she got in the room with us she heard the wind blowing against the house and it sounded like a freight train (but I didn't hear any chugga chugga, choo choo...so I think she was hearing things) The lights went out so when we went back upstairs I got to sleep with mommy and daddy and all three dogs on the bed. This morning mommy said she didn't think there was any damage outside but then they saw the fence across the street laying on the ground. When they walked back to the alley we had lost one of our trees which was now laying on the neighbors driveway and lots of branches from our other trees. Some of the big dead trees in the alley that mommy has been trying to get the city to cut down were also on their sides (I guess God heard mommy's prayers and cut them down for her) Luckily we all came out okay. And I had lots of fun. Hope we can do it again soon!!!

Here's me!!!

Its about time mommy helped me spread the news of my life!! Since you are all joining me a little late I'll fill you in on what's been happening for the last 15 months! My name is Wyatt and I was born by c-section at exactly 5pm on January 2nd, 2007. I was 7lbs and 19". My mommy and daddy love me dearly and were so happy to have their little boy finally.
I live in a big house with my parents and three dogs. The dogs are supposedly my siblings but I don't see the resemblence!! I've been hanging around with a group of babies since I was 5 months old and now we are all close friends. We have all been having birthdays lately and there is just one of us left under 1.
I'm a little guy just like mommy and daddy but already have a full mouthful of teeth. I'm just missing my molars but we think those are coming in now.
I have three aunts, four uncles, three grandpas, three grandmas, two great-grandmas, a great-grandpa, 3 girl cousins, and 3 boy cousins!! I have family in Michigan, family in Seattle, family in Rome, and family here in Dallas with me.
I've already been on 8 plane rides and driven from Dallas to Flint, MI.
I love to play with my toys, read books, sleep!!, eat lots of yummy food, play with my friends, unfold laundry mommy just folded, put rocks in the dogs water bucket, eat dirt, and cuddle when I'm sleepy.
This year my mommy and daddy are taking me to swimming lessons so I'll be more comfortable in our pool. At first I wasn't too sure about it but now I love it!
I love watching Spongebob and the Backyardigans. I go crazy when I see bananas even at the grocery store!!
I took my first steps on New Years Eve then proceeded to throw up all the milk I drank. Now I have to drink a special milk that doesn't make my tummy hurt. Then I didn't walk again for a month but now I'm running!!
I'm just starting to say some words like mama, dada, duck, look...
